Celso Tech Demo This is a tech demo I created all the art, character designs, and animation for. All player animations are controlled by the user's input. The demo includes 3 weapons: Lasers, Missiles and Mines. In the beginning of the demo there is a short cut scene of the soldier waking up on the planet. The animation cycles used are walk, run, strafe, crouch, crouch walk, jump, aim, and dieing animations. To get the look I was going for I created custom Normal maps, Specular maps and diffuse maps. The Villager's Tale This demo was another animation set controlled by the player and rendered in real time. I produced all the art, animation, and backgrounds. The animations included walk, run, jump, crouch, and crouch walk cycles. On top of that there is a sword draw and weapon switch. When the user fires the character pulls an arrow from the quiver, notches it and shoots. |

Lion Model The lion is rendered in real time, it has a normal map generated from a smoothed mesh and a height map created from the diffuse texture. I have since moved to zbrush to add muscle definition and better anatomy. Poly Count: 2622 |

Brain Bug Model I used specular maps to make the brain look nice and glossy. I created a custom height map for the folds on the brain. When animating the character I put a lot of personality into it by the way the brain would shake and the eyes would move. Poly Count: 1024 |

LipSync This section is from a lip Sync I did, it was based on this commercial. In the Ad the character speaks though his teeth so I was going for the same effect in my animation. |

Alien Model This character was designed to be a sidekick that the player would meet while exploring the planet. I wanted to give it a starwars feel so I researched 1970's jackets and picked one that looked space aged enough. He has the same animation set as the player: he can run, walk, strafe, jump. Space Soldier Model This is the player character in the Celso demo. He was based on a java game that I worked on, some of his design was already there. But when making him 3D I was going for a longer look then in the 2D game. Due to the small size of the 2D character I was free to fill in some details as I wished but still keep the original feel.
